Professional Experience

I began my early career teaching Visual Art and Psychology to Senior High School students, which over time developed into various employment positions in tertiary education, counselling and clinical supervision.

For many years I was involved with community organisations in providing counselling support, leadership, and training for young marrieds and their families. I later moved into professional counselling, supervision of counsellors and tertiary education. Over the last 25 years I have had varied experiences in adult counselling and have worked as a school counsellor with adolescents and their families in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.

Since 2021, I have also provided counselling services with Carers SA for carers in the hills region of Adelaide.

I have worked as a lecturer and Topic Coordinator at Flinders University in the Optometry and Health Sciences department for Interpersonal and Interprofessional Communication. Previously I gained extensive experience in lecturing student counsellors at TAFE SA, the Australian College of Applied Psychology and have worked for the University of Adelaide as a session lecturer and clinical supervisor at the Playford Clinic in Munno Para.
